PLANT HEALTH / DESIGN PREVIEW

Will the water reach its destination?

Explore CST makeup and condenser cooling. Estimates update when you move equipment, reroute pipes or change settings. This previews a proposed operating case; your plant remains shut down.

Water levels, pump heights & model assumptions

Heights use one flat site datum. They are assumptions you can change, not terrain elevations from OpenStreetMap. Source water temperature applies to both preview circuits.

Game reference at 100% demand: a 1,000 MWe class unit, 2,000 MW of condenser heat rejection with a 10°C cooling-water rise, and 12 L/s of makeup. Cooling routes default to four parallel 2,500 mm pipes; makeup uses one 100 mm pipe. These are editable gameplay presets, not plant specifications.

Uses map-route metres, liquid-water friction, bend/valve losses, game pump curves, electricity (including a running-pump idle allowance) and inlet-pressure margin. A closed return or return to the same reservoir uses zero outlet lift; an elevated free-discharge tower feed needs positive outlet lift. Pump height separately affects inlet margin. No steam/two-phase flow, transients, water hammer, inventory depletion, terrain survey or reactor/core physics is calculated. Pond/tower capacity is not assessed.

Basis: DOE pumping guide · DOE fluid-flow handbook. Curve coefficients, loss allowances and demands are game assumptions.

CONCEPTUAL LAYOUT REVIEW

Review your site plan

Liquid-flow preview · advisory

Flow estimates do not change the connection checklist or authorize startup.

What this review can confirm

Equipment groups, permitted pipe connections, continuous modelled loops, surface placement, and turbine/condenser housing. One grouped generating unit is supported.

What remains unverified

Construction is instant in this prototype. A built site remains shut down and uncommissioned.
